15 AI marketing agents, grouped by the job they do
Fix AI agent failures with a context checklist, loops, and actions to improve workflow and measure performance.

An AI agent will not fix a marketing system that leaks. If nobody knows which ad brought a sale, or a lead waits hours for a reply, the agent repeats the same mistakes faster.
This guide is for business owners and marketing managers who want AI to take real work off their team. It covers 15 agents, grouped by the job each one does, and the questions to ask before you pick one.
The usual mistake: choosing the tool before the job
Most teams start from a list like this one. They sign up for a popular writing tool and publish more posts. Meanwhile the hours they lose sit elsewhere: slow replies to leads, reports built by hand, data copied from one app to another.
Start from the job. The tool comes second.
What an AI marketing agent is
An AI marketing agent is software that takes a marketing task, works out the steps and carries them out with little human input. It reads text, data or a conversation, acts on it and learns from the result.

A simple chatbot answers questions. An agent also acts on the answer: it qualifies the lead, books the appointment or starts the follow-up. It can work alone or next to your team.
How to choose an agent
1. Name the job and the hours it takes. “Answering price questions on WhatsApp every evening” is a job. “Using AI in marketing” is not.
2. Start where your customer data already lives. If your contacts are in HubSpot or Salesforce, try the agent built into it before you add a new app. An agent that cannot see your customers can only guess.
3. Give it one channel and a human check. Let it draft, reply or route conversations in one place first. A person approves its work until the mistakes stop.
4. Judge it by the number the job moves. Judge a reply agent by response time and booked calls. Judge a content agent by the visits and leads its pages bring, not by how much it writes.
I hold ads to the same rule. At Legend AIM, I set up conversion tracking on Google, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat before raising the budget. From then on, each platform was judged by the sales it brought, not by its clicks.

Content and search
William (StoryChief)

William: content planning, SEO and analytics
William is the content agent inside StoryChief. It builds your content calendar and drafts blog and social posts in your brand voice. It checks each article against SEO advice on keywords and readability.
It also watches your traffic, flags articles that are losing visits and writes in several languages. A good first job: give it your website and ask for a month of post ideas for your audience, then edit them yourself.

William plans a content strategy from your brand
Chatsonic (Writesonic)

Chatsonic by Writesonic
Chatsonic is Writesonic’s chat assistant for marketing work. You ask by text or voice, and it drafts blog posts, ads and social posts. It can pull current results from Google Search, which helps when a topic changes every week.
Goodie AI

Goodie AI works on a newer kind of visibility: whether AI assistants mention your brand when people ask them about your field. Its site presents it as a way to become the source those answers draw on.
Campaigns, email and CRM
Agentforce (Salesforce)

Agentforce for marketing
Agentforce is Salesforce’s agent for marketing teams. It writes the campaign brief, finds audience segments in Data Cloud and drafts the emails. Then it tracks results, builds follow-up sequences in Flow and picks send times with Einstein.
It makes sense when your customer data is already in Salesforce. If it is not, start with something simpler.
Breeze (HubSpot)

Breeze AI by HubSpot
Breeze is the AI built into HubSpot’s CRM. It drafts campaigns, suggests content, splits your audience into segments, and writes email copy and subject lines. It also suggests send times, runs follow-up sequences and reports what worked.
A good first job: one email campaign with a different message for each customer segment, drafted by Breeze and edited by you.
Agent.ai

The Agent.ai agent directory
Agent.ai is a marketplace of ready-made agents, started by HubSpot’s cofounder and CTO. You pick an agent for one task and run it: keyword research, competitor analysis, social posts, a competitor’s tech stack, an industry report.
Use it to see what an agent can do for one task before you commit to a full platform.
Sales and inbound leads
Breakout

Breakout, an AI sales agent
Breakout is an AI sales agent for software companies, started by former Google employees. It talks to website visitors and new leads in real time, answers their questions and moves them along until a salesperson takes over. It connects to your CRM and marketing tools.
It fits companies with many inbound leads and short sales cycles, where a lead who waits goes cold.
Customer conversations
Many sales are lost after the click, in a question nobody answers in time. This is the first job I would hand to an agent.
My plan for the World Gym Stanley membership campaign in Alexandria put a chatbot for inquiries next to the ads from day one.
watsonx Assistant (IBM)

IBM watsonx Assistant
IBM’s watsonx Assistant builds chat and voice assistants on large language models. One assistant answers on web chat, email, social media and SMS, around the clock. Its low-code builder lets the marketing team change answers without waiting for IT.
It suits large companies with high message volumes and their own IT team.
AI HelpMate (Trengo)

AI HelpMate by Trengo
Trengo puts chat, email and social messages in one inbox. Its AI HelpMate answers frequent questions, sends each conversation to the right person and reads the customer’s mood. It fits a small team that answers customers on many channels.
Jotform AI Agents

Jotform AI Agents
Jotform AI Agents are no-code service agents built on your forms. They answer questions, guide people through a form, book appointments and collect donations. They work on web chat, SMS, voice, email, WhatsApp and Messenger, and a mobile app lets a staff member step in.
A good first job: shipping and price questions, with a handover to a person for anything else.
Botpress

Botpress is a platform for building your own chat agents. You decide what it answers, how it reads intent and when it hands over to a person. Then you publish it on your website and messaging apps.
It suits a team with a developer who wants full control.
Video
Synthesia

Synthesia turns a script into a video with an AI presenter, a voice-over, captions and transitions. It can produce the same video in several languages, inside your brand template.
Use it for explainers, product walkthroughs and training. An ad that shows real customers still needs real people.
Automation and data
Zapier Agents

Zapier Agents connect the apps you already use and act when something happens: a new lead, a form, a sale. They suggest automations, track each run and alert you when one fails.
A good first job: every new form lead goes into the CRM, gets a reply and reaches the right salesperson.
Relevance AI

Relevance AI website
Relevance AI lets you build your own agents and connect them to your data, databases and tools. It also searches unstructured data such as documents and notes, sorts it and finds patterns in it.
Akira AI

Akira AI is an agent platform for company workflows. For marketing, it drafts blog posts, social copy and emails in your brand voice, checks keywords and readability, and formats the text for each channel. A person still reviews the tone and structure before anything goes out.
Checklist before you sign up
- I can name the job and the hours it takes each week.
- The agent works inside our CRM and inbox, or connects to them.
- I know the one number that will show it works.
- A person reviews its output until the mistakes stop.
- Every lead and every sale is tracked to its source.
- Customer data stays within what we promised our customers.
Send me the task that takes your team the most hours each week. I will tell you whether an agent should take it, and which one I would try first.
