Senegal Week in Riyadh: event website
A six-day event website, finished before the event was cancelled.
Senegal Week in Riyadh was planned as six days of forums and an expo in June 2026. My team built its website: the programme by day, eight pavilions, packages for exhibitors and registration for visitors. The event was cancelled because of the situation in the region, so the site never launched officially.

The full story
The event
Senegal Week in Riyadh was planned for 25 to 30 June 2026 under the theme “Teranga Meets Arabia”. The programme split six days between the Diplomatic Quarter, with a main stage, an expo and themed pavilions, and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, with an economic forum and business meetings.
Days one to three were at the Diplomatic Quarter, around the pavilions and the expo. Days four and five moved to the Chamber for the economic forum, a youth entrepreneurship forum and business meetings. The last day returned to the Diplomatic Quarter with a fashion show and awards for the best pavilion and the best exhibitor.
So the website had four jobs: explain the week, show each day’s programme and venue, sell stands to companies, and register visitors.
What my team and I built
1. A programme people can follow by day
The home page opens with the dates, the place and one button to register. The programme follows as day cards: pick a day and you see its events, each with its time, its venue and a link to the details. A business visitor goes straight to the two Chamber days, and a family to the expo days.
2. Eight pavilions and packages for exhibitors
Each of the eight pavilions has its own colour and icon. Companies see the exhibitor packages side by side, with what each package includes and a button to apply, so a stand can be booked from the page.
3. A register button in every section
Registration strips run across the page, so a visitor can sign up from any section. The site also carries the speakers, the partners, the common questions, a countdown to the opening and a newsletter for updates.
What happened next
The event was cancelled because of the situation in the region, and the site never launched officially. I show it here as work my team delivered, not as a campaign with results. The photos of people in the screenshots are blurred, since they were never published.
What to take from it
An event site serves two readers at once: the visitor who wants the day and the place, and the company that wants a stand. Give each one its own path from the home page, and put the register button where the reader already is.
If you are preparing an exhibition or a forum, send me the programme. I will tell you how I would lay out its website.
