Case study DV Holidays
DV Holidays: travel booking website
A travel booking website built around how DV Holidays sells.
DV Holidays sells tours and holiday packages. I reworked the Traveler theme for WordPress in its brand. Then I added search and filters, its own booking forms, multi-day, room and date booking, and a checkout with more payment gateways.
What we did
Designs and screens from the project
- Brand design on the Traveler theme
- Search and filters
- Custom tour booking forms
- Multi-day, room and date booking
- Checkout with more payment gateways
- Speed and SEO
The full story
What DV Holidays needed
DV Holidays sells tours and holiday packages. It needed a website where a traveller can search for a trip, compare options and book it online.
I built it on the Traveler theme for WordPress. The theme gave a solid base, but its default design and booking steps did not fit DV Holidays’ brand or its trips.

What I did, in order
1. A design in the company’s brand
- Brand colours and fonts in place of the theme’s defaults.
- A clear visual order on each page, so the booking buttons stand out.
- A layout that works fully on phones.
2. Booking features the theme did not have
- Search and filters that help travellers find the trip they want.
- Tour booking forms made for DV Holidays’ own services.
- Multi-day booking for longer tours and holiday packages.
- Room choice: the traveller picks the room for each trip.
- Date tabs that make picking a date easier.
- A reworked checkout with more payment gateways.
3. Speed and search
The brief also asked for a faster site and better search basics, to help it rank and keep visitors on the page.
The result
DV Holidays has a booking site in its own brand, where a traveller goes from search to payment in one flow. I did not record booking or traffic figures for this project, so there is no number here.
What to take from it
A ready-made theme saves time, but it was built for someone else’s trips. Change the booking steps to match what you actually sell, then work on the look.
If your travel site gets visits but few bookings, send me the link. I will tell you where I think the booking flow breaks.
